Foreign Trained Nurses to be eligible for work as a Nurse in Singapore should be registered with the Singapore Nursing Board. They Must pass the Singapore Nursing Board Registered Nurse Licensure Examination ( SNB RN ) test.
Following are the Types of Singapore Nursing Board Licensure Exam
- Registered Nurse Licensure Examination
- Enrolled Nurse Licensure Examination
- Registered Midwife Licensure Examination
Eligibility for SNB :
For Foreign Trained Nurses to be eligible to apply for Registration/Enrollment at SNB, you should have the following :
- Completion of a pre-registration / pre-enrolment nursing program, which is equivalent to an accredited pre-registration / pre-enrolment nursing program in Singapore (as assessed by SNB).
- Nursing/midwifery registration from the country where you have received the training ;
- Current practicing license as a nurse or midwife and
- Clinical nursing practice for the past five years in the home country.

What are the documents required for the Online Application of SNB?
- Passport Photograph [10 Kb, PDF]
- Passport or NRIC (if applicable)
- Marriage Certificate (if applicable)
- Registration Certificate
- Training Certificate/ Graduation Certificates
- Current Nursing license/Practicing certificate(s)
- Nursing transcripts from a university, college, or training facility ( detailed breakdown of theory and clinical practice in hours/weeks)
- References from the previous employer(s) to describe the previous work experience performance and should be written by the Nursing Director/Head of Nursing to ensure authenticity.

- Application Fee for Registration/Enrolment (to be paid after online application)
- Registration/Enrolment Fee (to be paid after approval)
- Application for Practising Certificate Fee (to be paid after approval)
